As a student I was always fascinated by the planets of our solar system and the one’s quite far from earth like Uranus and Neptune seemed to heighten my curiosity. When I came to know that Uranus is filled with ice, it left me quite perplexed. On further study I got to know that the planet looks like a featureless giant without any signs of clouds or strips as visible on other planets. Uranus like other large planets has its own moons and incidentally even has titled rotational axis. My curiosity with Uranus still persists and so when I chanced upon the Uranus 3D Space Screensaver 1.0.3, I installed it at once to observe the planet from close.
When you play the Uranus 3D Space Screensaver 1.0.3, it depicts the icy giant in all its glory. You can notice the views of the planet from different angles and even try to visualize its orbit. The planet has a form of planetary rings which the screensaver accurately depicts. Essentially composed of dark particles the planet has around eleven rings, some very faint that have been found till now. One of the striking facts about this planet is the number of moons which currently tally around 27. The screensaver in some images contrasts natural moons against the backdrop of the planet. The screensaver is designed to work on all Windows machines and also comes with an effectual digital clock. It also features support for more than one monitor and offers password protection to restrict system access when you are away from your system. It is quite interesting to note that Uranus takes approximately 84 years to make one revolution around the Sun. The screensaver too tries to depict the movement of Uranus and boasts of some spectacular scenes.
Overall the screensaver does manage to give you elegant glimpses of this enchanting planet named after the Greek sky god. Owing to its neat graphics and gripping music score, the Uranus 3D Space Screensaver 1.0.3 earns a rating of 3 stars.
